Conductor Josep Pons signs to HarrisonParrott

HarrisonParrott is delighted to welcome conductor Josep Pons to its roster of artists for worldwide general management.
Regarded as the leading Spanish conductor of his generation, Pons has built strong relationships with many European orchestras including Orchestre de Paris and BBC Symphony Orchestra. He is Music Director of Gran Teatre del Liceu and Honorary Conductor of the Orquesta Nacional de España.
The next two seasons will see Pons debut with WDR Sinfonieorchester, Konzerthausorchester Berlin and Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI. He will also return to Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra and The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen.
With a discography of over 50 CDs and DVDs, Pons’ recordings of Falla and French repertoire are regarded as benchmark interpretations and have received numerous awards including a Choc du Monde de la Musique and a Latin Grammy. Future releases include a project with regular collaborator Matthias Goerne for Harmonia Mundi, and Mahler’s Symphony No.8 on Deutsche Grammophon.
