Josep Pons renews Music Director Contract with Gran Teatre del Liceu until 2021/22 season

Josep Pons, Music Director of the Gran Teatre del Liceu since September 2012, has extended his contract until the 2021/22 season.

Josep Pons’ next concert with the Orchestra of the Grand Teatre del Liceu will be at the United Nations in Geneva, for the Peace and Human Rights Concerts on 9 December.

“I thank the Liceu for the chance to finish the work that we have been doing. My time at the Liceu has no other purpose than to leave our audiences and our country with the legacy of the best possible Orchestra and Chorus”
