On 3 and 5 December Martin Fröst launches his new project Genesis with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra at Stockholm’s Konserthus.

This week also sees the pre-release in Sweden of Fröst’s first recording on Sony Classical, Roots. The album will be released internationally in January 2016 but a sample track — La Muerte del ángel originally by Ástor Piazzolla — can now be purchased on iTunes. Both the recording and performances showcase a wide range of repertoire spanning 2000 years, tracing the evolution of music through a continuous soundscape.
