Georgia Jarman debuts as Marguerite
23/10/2015
This week American soprano Georgia Jarman makes her role debut as Marguerite in Gounod’s Faust. Performing at the 29th Macau International Music Festival, performances are on 30, 31 October and 1 November under the orchestra’s music director, Lü Jia.
Georgia has recently enjoyed a number of important debuts, including at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden (as Roxana in Król Roger under Antonio Pappano), the Santa Fe Festival (as Gilda in Rigoletto) and at English National Opera (as all four heroines in Les contes d’Hoffmann). This summer she returns to the Caramoor Music Festival as Zenobia in Rossini’s Aureliano in Palmira.
