Osmo Vänskä returns to Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra

On 16 September Osmo Vänskä returns to the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra to conduct Bruckner’s Symphony No.7.
The following week, Vänskä also revisits Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, performing in a concert on 27 September at the Philharmonie Berlin. The programme includes Nino Rota’s Concerto for Strings, Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No.1 (with Igor Levit as the soloist) and Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring.
Recent highlights for Vänskä include a performance of an all-Sibelius programme at the BBC Proms which received 5‑star reviews from both The Telegraph and The Times, the latter of which stated “No one alive today conducts Sibelius better”.
