This week the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra perform three concerts at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City (7 – 9 August) under the baton of Chief Conductor John Storgårds.
As the only international symphony orchestra to be invited to perform in Mexico City this year, they perform Sibelius’ Symphony Cycle and Violin Concerto (with Baiba Skride as soloist) in celebration of the composer’s 150th anniversary.
