8/5/2015
Korean soprano Kathleen Kim makes her company debut at La Monnaie as Oscar in Àlex Ollé’s production of Un ballo in maschera. Conducted by Carlo Rizzi, performances open on 12 May.
Kathleen has enjoyed previous success as Oscar at both The Metropolitan Opera under Fabio Luisi and San Diego Opera under Massimo Zanetti. These performances follow a busy season for Kathleen which has included her successful company debut at Oper Frankfurt as Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos) in Brigitte Fassbaender’s production, her return to Teatro dell’Opera di Roma in a fully-choreographed production of Carmina Burana and a return to San Diego Opera as Madame Mao in John Adams’ Nixon in China.
