8/5/2015
Daniel Blendulf performs with Gothenburg Symphony on 13 May, in a concert featuring Andrea Tarrodi’s Zephyros, Nielsen’s Flute Concerto (with Håvard Lysebo) and Tchaikovsky’s The Tempest.
Blendulf also conducted The Tempest with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra last month, on a trip which saw him make international debuts not only in Malaysia, but also in Australia and New Zealand.
His performances throughout this trip received widespread critical acclaim. Seen and Heard International said of his performance with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, “What a marvellous, spine-tingling, richly-wrought experience it all turned out to be…[Daniel Blendulf is] certainly a star performer…It’s the kind of music-making I live for, and Janine Jansen, Daniel Blendulf and the NZSO delivered it in spades.” and Manly Daily commented on his concert with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, “…his command of his forces was most impressive, culminating in a scintillating interpretation of Sibelius’ fifth symphony in the second half.”
