Eivind Gullberg Jensen debuts with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra
17/4/2015
Eivind Gullberg Jensen makes his debut with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra at two concerts on 22 and 23 April at the Helsinki Music Centre – the latter of which is one of the featured concerts for this year’s IAMA conference.
In Helsinki, Gullberg Jensen conducts Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No.2 and is joined by Jörg Widmann as soloist in Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto – marking his return to the orchestra following a celebrated concert with them in Freiburg last year. The programme also features Widmann’s Con Brio.
Gullberg Jensen then returns to Münchner Philharmoniker for three concerts (27 — 29 April) at the Philharmonie im Gasteig. The programmes feature Glinka’s Ruslan and Lyudmila Overture, Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and Hartl’s Concerto for Multi-Percussion and Orchestra with Martin Grubinger as soloist.
