2/4/2015
Santtu-Matias Rouvali returns to the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra to conduct three concerts in Sweden.
Rouvali conducts the orchestra in Stockholm on 9 April, in Gothenburg on 10 April and in Vara on 11 April. The programme features Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No.2 with soloist Valeriy Sokolov, and Shostakovich’s Symphony No.9.
One of the most sought after young conductors in Scandinavia, Rouvali has return engagements with the Gothenburg Symphony, the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and again to the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra planned before the end of the year. Other European engagements this season include debuts with both the Wiener Symphoniker and Gürzenich-Orchester Köln.
