Martin Grubinger embarks on an extensive European tour with Camerata Salzburg and conductor John Axelrod, performing their much-anticipated Best of programme in 11 concerts across December and January.
Celebrating their close working partnership over many years, Martin and the orchestra reprise some of their most successful collaborations with a programme of music by Ives, Dorman, Bernstein, Kodaly, Piazzolla and Kerschek.
Concerts take place in Munich (1 December), Vaduz (3 December), Erlangen (10), Zürich (12), Salzburg (19 December), Hamburg (8 January), Hannover (9), Essen (10), Bremen (11), Vienna (13) and Regensburg (16 January).
Following the Zürich concert with the Camerata, the multi-percussionist star is soloist in Cerha’s Concerto for percussion and orchestra — a work he premiered in 2009 — with the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and Gustavo Gimeno on 13 & 14 December.
