Martin Grubinger opens Washington’s National Symphony Orchestra 2015/16 season

Martin Grubinger appears at Washington’s National Symphony Orchestra’s season opening concert on 20 September performing highlights of his repertoire such as the first movement from Tan Dun’s The Tears of Nature, Keiko Abe’s Prism Rhapsody and Astor Piazzolla’s Libertango under the baton of Christoph Eschenbach.
In the following week Grubinger joins the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich for Corigliano’s Percussion Concerto on 23, 24 and 25 September, and he concludes the week with a performance of his brand new programme ‘Big Six’ at Wiener Konzerthaus on 27 September.
