This week Patricia Kopatchinskaja gives her first performances as Artist-in-Residence with hr-Sinfonieorchester. She appears at the Alte Oper Frankfurt on 30 and 31 October and at the Stadthalle Kassel on 2 November, performing Beethoven’s Violin Concerto and Mansurian’s Romance under the baton of Philippe Herreweghe.

As part of her residency, she also gives a performance of Ligeti’s Violin Concerto with Roland Kluttig on 7 November, a concert with string quartet quartet-lab on 9 November, and is soloist in Stravinsky’s Violin Concerto under the baton of Andrés Orozco-Estrada on 11 and 12 December.

Following her sensational debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker and Peter Eötvös last month, other highlights of this season include concerts with the Radio-Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart des SWR and Sir Roger Norrington, with the Philharmonia Orchestra and Vladimir Ashkenazy in Madrid and tours with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra under Sakari Oramo and NDR Sinfonieorchester Hamburg under Thomas Hengelbrock.
