29/8/2014
Irish soprano Claudia Boyle sings the role of Adina in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore on 7 September at Sächsische Staatsoper Dresden, marking her company debut.
These performances kick-off a busy season for Claudia, including her role debut as Gilda at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, and her company debut at English National Opera in the highly-anticipated new production by film director Mike Leigh of Pirates of Penzance.
A former member of the Salzburg Young Singers Project and winner of both the First Prize and the Critics’ Prize at the 2012 Concorso Maria Callas Verona, Claudia has already made several impressive recent European debuts. These include Konstanze (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) at Komische Oper Berlin, Tytania (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) in Rome under James Conlon, and Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor) for Danish National Opera.
