Sayaka Shoji embarks on a seven date recital tour of Japan with legendary pianist Menahem Pressler.

The tour begins on 1 April with a concert in Takasaki Bunkakaikan, and includes a recital at Tokyo’s Suntory Hall on 10 April. Dates also include Bifuka, Hokkaido (4 April), Utsunomiya (6 April), Osaka (8 April) and Kamakura (12 April). The tour ends in Matsumoto on 13 April.

The programmes include works by Mozart, Schubert and Brahms.

The partnership was formed after Shoji met Pressler at a recital he had given in Paris; later, on listening to her recordings, Pressler suggested they work together, with the current tour marking their first collaboration.
