Esther Yoo makes her London concerto debut with the Philharmonia Orchestra
18/3/2014
Esther Yoo — recently described by The Telegraph’s Ivan Hewett as “set to take the classical music world by storm” — makes her London concerto debut with the Philharmonia Orchestra and Lorin Maazel at the Royal Festival Hall.
She performs Mozart’s Violin Concerto No.3 in the concert on 23 March. The programme also features Mussorgsky’s Pictures from an Exhibition (in Ravel’s orchestration) and Strauss’ Till Eulenspiegel.
Esther performed the concerto with the orchestra and Maazel in the UK earlier this month, and will shortly work with the orchestra again, on a recording of concertos by Sibelius and Glazunov with Vladimir Ashkenazy.
