Following on from recent concerts with the Orchestre National de France and hr-Sinfonieorchester, David Zinman conducts the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks in works by Balakirev, Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky. 

The all-Russian programme, performed on 23 & 24 January, features Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.4 and Lisa Batiashvili as soloist in Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No.1. The concerts open with Balakirev’s Overture on Russian Themes.

Upcoming guest engagements this spring include the London Philharmonic Orchestra and NDR Sinfonieorchester Hamburg.
