Britten Sinfonia complete their highly-acclaimed tour with Thomas Adès and Pekka Kuusisto with a performance on 27 February at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall.
The tour, which included their New York debut at the Lincoln Center, was described by The New York Times: “It took almost 20 years, but Britten Sinfonia finally made its American debut…It was worth the wait.” The programme included Adès’ Violin Concerto and two short pieces by Stravinsky as part of a programme designed and conducted by Adès himself, which also includes works by Ravel and Couperin.
