Jean-Yves Thibaudet returns to Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra this week, with performances on 30 May, 1 and 2 June alongside conductor Paavo Järvi. He will be performing Khachaturian’s rarely heard Piano Concerto, which he recently recorded with Decca for his latest disc, Khachaturian. Maestro Paavo Järvi opens this programme with Vesper (Poem) by his compatriot Ester Mägi and presents Stravinsky’s Petrushka in the second half.
On 3 June Järvi performs Stravinsky’s Petrushka once again in a more informal atmosphere in a special Essentials series concert.
