Sakari Oramo conducts Berliner Philharmoniker in a thrilling all-Mahler programme, replacing Daniel Barenboim, who has had to withdraw for health reasons. He will conduct three performances in Berlin of the Adagio from Mahler’s unfinished Symphony No.10, followed by the monumental Das Lied von der Erde, on 8, 9 and 10 May. He will then reunite with the orchestra a week later to perform the same programme at the Mahler Festival in the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, on 18 May.
