RODERICK COX DEBUTS WITH ROTTERDAM PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA

Acclaimed American conductor Roderick Cox makes his highly anticipated debut with Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, leading a captivating program that highlights the richness of musical storytelling.
At the heart of the concert is William Dawson’s Negro Folk Symphony, a powerful and deeply expressive work woven with the spirit of African-American folk songs. Also featured are Richard Strauss’s dynamic Don Juan and Edvard Grieg’s beloved Piano Concerto, performed by the virtuosic Alexander Gavrylyuk.
Audiences in the Netherlands will have two opportunities to see Cox; 14 March in Utrecht at Tivoli Vredenburg and 16 March in Rotterdam at de Doelen.
