Eldbjørg Hemsing returns to Oslo to perform Hjalmar Borgstrøm’s Violin Concerto with Oslo Philharmonic and Dmitry Matvienko on 6 March. The concerto was first performed in 1914 as part of a celebration of the centenary of the Norwegian constitution and remained practically unknown for nearly a century. Eldbjørg Hemsing contributed to re-establishing it in the classical repertoire when she recorded it in 2018 with Wiener Symphoniker.

This follows a busy start of the year with appearances with Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Bodenseephilharmonie Konstanz and Gabriel Venzago, and Odense Symphony Orchestra in Denmark, alongside chamber music projects in Germany and her very own Hemsing Festival in Aurdal, Norway.
