AVA BAHARI MAKES HER DEBUT IN SCOTLAND
14/2/2025
Acclaimed Swedish violinist Ava Bahari joins BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Sir James MacMillan, marking her debut concerto appearance in the United Kingdom.
The evening commences with Ralph Vaughan Williams’ lively overture, The Wasps, followed by Bahari taking centre stage to perform Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in, a piece celebrated for its lyrical beauty and technical demands.
With an evening that offers a rich tapestry of classical and contemporary works, audience members will be able to see Bahari and the orchestra in concert on 21 February at Perth Concert Hall.
Bahari returns to the UK on 6 March, where she performs Berg’s Violin Concerto with BBC NOW, conducted by Daniel Cohen.
