New Japan Philharmonic performs two concerts with two different programmes at Abu Dhabi Festival on 7 and 8 February at Emirates Palace. 

The first concert features piano soloist Kyohei Sorita and tenor Jonathan Tetelman in a programme of Puccini’s Donna non vidi mai, Le villi, Tornai ai felici and Nessun dorma, Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.2, Dvorák’s Symphony No.9.

For the second concert, there is a new programme of Yasushi Akutagawa’s Triptyque for String Orchestra, Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No.1 and Symphony No.5.

It is the orchestra’s first visit to the Gulf region and, therefore, its debut performance in the UAE.
