Australian Chamber Orchestra perform in Amsterdam’s Muziekgebouw aan ​‘t IJ (11 March) and Stuttgart’s Liederhalle (19 March) as part of their European tour celebrating their 50^th anniversary. Conducted by Richard Tognetti and joined by pianist Alexander Melnikov, they present an exciting programme centred around works by Bach and Shostakovich, including Bach’s (Arr. Richard Tognetti ) Musical Offering and Brandenburg Concerto No.3, Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto, Sofia Gubaidulina (Arr. for strings) Reflections on the Theme BACH, Bach’s (Arr. for strings) The Well-Tempered Clavier Volume 2, and Concerto for Violin and Oboe, and Shostakovich’s Chamber Symphony.
