Pablo Heras-Casado returns to the Opéra National de Paris to conduct Wagner’s Das Rheingold from the 29 January to 19 February, with the direction of Calixto Bieito. The production runs through seven performances and features a cast including Iain Paterson as Wotan, Florent Mbia as Donner, Matthew Cairns as Froh, Simon O’Neill as Loge, Kwangchul Youn as Fasolt, Mika Kares as Fafner and Brian Mulligan as Alberich.

This is the first title of the tetralogy Der Ring das Nibelungen, which will be performed through seasons 2024/25, 2025/26 and 2026/27 with Pablo Heras-Casado on the podium.
