Paweł Kapuła will conduct the Gulbenkian Orchestra in two concerts on 23 January and 24 January. The programme features Paul Hindemith’s colourful and captivating Symphony Mathis der Maler and Beethoven’s equally virtuosic Piano Concerto No.5, which will be performed by Alexander Melkinov. He will take over from Hannu Lintu, who was initially meant to conduct both concerts.
