Pekka Kuusisto and Esa-Pekka Salonen join forces with NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester for two spectacular New Year’s concerts on 31 December and 1 January at the Elbphilharmonie. The programme includes Strauss’ symphonic poem Also sprach Zarathustra, Ravel’s vibrant Boléro, and Bryce Dessner’s captivating Violin Concerto, a work written especially for Kuusisto, who performs as the soloist. The 31 December concert will be broadcast live on the Elbphilharmonie Mediatheque.
