On 25 December, Ksenija Sidorova joins Orquesta Sinfonica de Tenerife and Ivan Lopez-Reynoso for a special Christmas concert at Dársena los Llanos, in the port of Tenerife. Sidorova plays the 1st movement of Bach’s Concerto No.1, Piazzolla’s Libertango, and a special arrangement of Carlos Gardel’s Por Una Cabeza with violinist Leticia Moreno and guitarist Rafael Aguirre.
Sidorova then travels to her home country and performs three New Year’s concerts on 28, 29, and 30 December with Liepāja Symphony Orchestra at the Great Amber Hall. Conducted by Guntis Kuzma, the programme features Piazzolla’s Four Season of Buenos Aires, Libertango, Oblivion as well as Franck Angelis’ Fantasie sur un thème d’Astor Piazzolla (Chiquilín de Bachín), and Gershwin’s Three Preludes.
