Widely acknowledged to be one of the world’s leading exponents of Richard Strauss’ Baron Ochs, a role he’s sung to comedic perfection in productions of Der Rosenkavalier with all the world’s leading theatres. Peter Rose boasts an impressive range of operatic repertoire with recent performance highlights as Osmin at Teatro alla Scala, Fafner (Siegfried) at Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Rocco (Fidelio) at the Royal Ballet and Opera and Hunding in concert with Sydney Symphony and Simone Young. This season sees a major role debut as Sir Morosus in a new staging of Die schweigsame Frau at Staatsoper Under den Linden and a new production of Der Rosenkavalier at Théâtre des Champs-Elysées.

Away from the spotlight Peter is a passionate advocate for young musicians, frequently holding masterclasses and mentorship programmes, sharing his knowledge and insipring the next generation of operatic talent.
