Stephen Waarts returns to the Hallé and Thomas Adès for concerts at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on 21 November, followed by a second concert at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham on 26 November. The programme includes Rautavaara’s Two Serenades, Adès’ Air and Aquifer, and Sibelius’ Symphony No.7 and No.5. The concert in Manchester is set to be broadcast on BBC Radio 3 on 27 November.
