Conductor Daniel Reith steps in for Franz Welser-Most to conduct The Cleveland Orchestra’s Beethoven piano concertos cycle, at Severance Music Center. The first concerts on 6 and 7 November feature Sir Stephen Hough playing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.3, and Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with soloists Augustin Hadelich, Julia Hagen and Orion Weiss, with Garrick Ohlsson as soloist for Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.2 and No.4 on 9 and 12 November. The cycle concludes with three concerts on 15, 16 and 17 November, with Minsoo Sohn performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.1, and Yuncham Lim playing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.5.
