Kent Nagano is Awarded the prestigious Brahms Prize

Following an announcement in March 2024, renowned conductor Kent Nagano has just been officially awarded the prestigious Brahms Prize, awarded to outstanding personalities and performers of classical music every year since 1988. Previous award holders have included such figures as Leonard Bernstein, Herbert Blomstedt, Christoph Eschenbach and Yehudi Menuhin.
The award ceremony was held on 29 September. Nagano conducted the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra at the ceremony, the orchestra of which he has served as GMD since 2015.
