PABLO HERAS-CASADO AWARDED CONDUCTOR OF THE YEAR BY OPERNWELT
25/9/2024
Conductor Pablo Heras-Casado has been awarded Conductor of the Year by the prestigious opera magazine Opernwelt. This recognition especially highlights his interpretation of Parsifal at the Bayreuth Festival, described by the publication as “rhetorically and poetically impressive.” The award, considered one of the most significant in the operatic world, is the result of an annual survey conducted among 43 international critics, with the results published in the yearbook of the iconic German magazine.
Following his success in previous editions, Heras-Casado will return to the Bayreuther Festspiele in the summer of 2025 to once again conduct Parsifal. Additionally, as announced last July, he will lead the new production of The Ring of the Nibelung in 2028, maintaining a constant presence in future editions of the Festival.
