Kristian Sallinen appears this week in his subscription debut with Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra in an original programme centred around Britten’s Lachrymae, a piece for viola and orchestra which quotes music by John Dowland. The soloist is the orchestra’s own principal violist Jakob Dingstad. The concert opens with Pingoud’s La dernière aventure de Pierrot and concludes with Sibelius’ rousing and much-loved Symphony No.2. You can listen to the livestream here on 18 September at 18:00 CEST.
