Tenor Christopher Sokolowski makes his highly anticipated role debut on 15 September as the Wagnerian hero Lohengrin, swiftly cementing his place in the heroic tenor repertoire. He takes on the title role in a new production by Frank Hilbrich, conducted by Stefan Klingele at Theater Bremen. This season, he can be heard at the renowned Konzerthaus Berlin, singing Beethoven’s Sympony No.9 with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin under the direction of Vladimir Jurowski.
Sokolowski then returns to Staatsoper Hannover to debut as Manolios in Martinů’s The Greek Passion, in a new production by Barbora Horáková and conducted by Stephan Zilias.
