Six HarrisonParrott Artists & Clients attend Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival
On 4 July, O/Modernt Chamber Orchestra perform‘Vivaldi Rocks’ programme featuring works from Antonio Vivaldi, uniquely fused with songs by Metallica, Dream Theater and Muse. The performance takes place at Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie as part of the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival. O/Modernt is joined by their Artistic Director Hugo Ticciati also performing on violin, Bram van Sambeek bassoon, Marijn Korff de Gidts percussion, Sven Figee Hammond-Organ, and Rick Stotijn double bass.
Pekka Kuusisto performs with The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen on 19 July in a programme of Vivaldi, Grieg and Tarraodi, and then again on 20 July with Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.
Ksenija Sidorova and Benjamin Appl perform lieder inspired by Venice, with works composed by Schubert, Schumann, Tschaikovsky, Vivaldi, Caldara, and others. The concerts take place on 10 August at St. Fabian und St. Sebastian Church in Bad Schwartau, and on 11 August at Rellingen Church.
Ksenija returns with the Rothko String Quartet for concerts on 28 August in Haseldorf and 29 August in Altenhof. The programme includes works by Astor Piazzolla, Johann Sebastian Bach, Franck Angelis, Sergei Voitenko, Sergey Akhunov and Pietro Roffi.
Vivi Vassileva performs two duo-recitals with guitar on 17 August in Kiel and on 18 August in Hasselburg. The programme includes a new work by Avner Dorman — Child’s Play for vibraphone and guitar, a piece that was inspired by the simplicity, joy and excitement that are found in children’s games, for which Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival is one of the commissioners.
Nil Venditti makes her debut at the Festival with the Bridges Ensemble on 26 August. Thematically, the programme ranges from the Spanish La Follia in the variations by the Venetian composer Vivaldi to compositions that combine styles from Arabic, Persian and European classical music, jazz, contemporary music, Eastern European folklore and various forms of Central Asian and Latin American music.
