On 1 July, Bertrand Chamayou performs a programme of Fauré, including his Sonata No.1 for Cello and Piano and his Quartet No.1 for Piano and Strings.
On 2 July, Chamayou returns for an eclectic programme with masterpieces from Schumann, Liszt and Ravel, in a journey with strong romantic influence, inhabited by legends, whimsical elves and tightrope-walking birds. He also plays two works long considered the most demanding in the piano repertoire: Ravel’s Scarbo, the third piece in Gaspard de la nuit, and Balakirev’s Islamey.
