Kent Nagano conducts Ligeti’s existential anti-opera Le Grand Macabre at Bayerische Staatsoper with soprano Sarah Aristidou reprising her acclaimed interpretation of the fiendish dual roles Venus and Chief of Police (Gepopo). Krzysztof Warlikowski directs this new production and performances take place from 28 June to 7 July.

For audiences in Munich who will not be able to attend the performances in June and July, Nagano will return on 20, 23 and 26 October to conduct the same production.
