Five HarrisonParrott Artists attend the Kissinger Sommer International Music Festival 2024
Distinguished soprano, Anu Komsi joins Sakari Oramo and BBC Symphony Orchestra on 21 June for a programme of Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and The New Orpheus by Kurt Weill. The programme also includes Carl Maria von Weber’s Overture to the opera Oberon. They are joined by fellow HP artist Sofi Jeannin, who also performs on 21 June with the Ladies of the BBC Singers for one of Kissinger Sommer’s famously intimate and beautiful Prelude Concerts.
Timothy Ridout plays in Kissinger Sommer Festival on 22 June with pianist Federico Colli. Repertoire includes Mendelssohn’s Sonata, Schumann’s Fairy Tale Pictures and Bach’s Viola and Basso Continuo Sonata. Timothy Ridout also presents his own arrangement of Brahms’ Cello Sonata.
Ksenija Sidorova performs with regular collaborator mandolist Avi Avital on 25 June at Schloss Aschach. The programme includes works by Stravinsky, Bartók, de Falla, Villa-Lobos, Saint-Saëns, Mozart and Kreisler.
