Gautier Capuçon joins Wiener Philharmoniker at Vienna’s Musikverein with Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No.1 on 2 June.

Harpist Xavier de Maistre performs Péter Eötvös’ Concerto for Harp and Orchestra alongside ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien and conductor Maxime Pascal. The concert on 4 June also includes Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll, Eötvös’ Reading Malevich, and Bartók’s Piano Concerto No.3.

On 5 and 6 June, Patrick Hahn conducts Wiener Symphoniker in a programme featuring Schoenberg’s Expectation, a monodrama on a text by Marie Pappenheim, followed by Zemlinsky’s The Mermaid, a symphonic poem based on a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen.
