Oslo Philharmonic tour across Europe
30/5/2024
Oslo Philharmonic embarks on a 10-day tour, travelling to Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw (3 June), Philharmonie de Paris (4 June), Konzerthaus Vienna (6 and 7 June), and Schlossfestspiele Ludwigsburg (9 June).
Conducted by their Chief Conductor Klaus Mäkelä and joined by violin soloist Daniel Lozakovich, they perform a Brahms programme featuring his Concerto for Violin and Cello (Double Concerto) – featuring Klaus on the cello for the double concerto at all four venues, and Symphony No.1.
Konzerthaus Vienna will host a second concert on 7 June, during which the orchestra performs Von Weber’s Overture from Oberon, Sibelius’ Tapiola, and Zemlinsky’s Die Seejungfrau.
