Ensemble Resonanz has been awarded the Johannes Brahms Medal in Hamburg. The medal is given by the Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg to artists who have made a significant contribution to the musical life of the area.
“With their extraordinary concerts, the Ensemble Resonanz creates the “resonances” that give it its name: vibrations between the works and the audience that resonate with the listeners. This is achieved through the inspiring interpretations and combinations of Ensemble Resonanz. The musicians constantly build new bridges between classical and modern music and exploit potential that remains hidden to others. At the point where others see limits, for the ensemble the fun often really begins.” — Dr Carsten Brosda, Senator for Culture and Media Hamburg
