ARTS PARTNERSHIPS & TOURS: April Adventures

Led by Chief Conductor Jakub Hruša, Bamberger Symphoniker, accompanied by acclaimed French pianist Hélène Grimaud, embark on a captivating tour across Iceland and the USA, making their debut in Reykjavik’s Harpa Concert Hall on 20 April. In Symphony Hall Boston on the second leg of their tour, praised pianist Lukáš Vondráček takes the stage as a soloist. The tour continues its enchanting performances at Carnegie Hall New York, and two concerts at the Centre for the Arts in Virginia and Moss Arts Center from 23 – 27 April.
Camerata RCO add to their concerts in Europe, a first visit to Aalborg and Grenoble with a performance on 8 April at Musikkens Kammerklubb, in a programme including Poulenc’s Sextet for wind quintet and piano as well as Mozart’s Kegelstatt Trio. On 11 April the ensemble will be at Maison de la culture de Grenoble where they perform Dvořák‘s Symphony No.7 and Strauss‘ Four Last Songs in special arrangement for chamber ensemble. Camerata RCO is thrilled to have Miah Persson joining them as the soloist for the Strauss portion of the performance.
Philharmonia Orchestra perform on 9 April 2024 at Concertgebouw Amsterdam, under the baton of their Principal Conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali. The curated programme begins with Nielsen’s Helios Overture, setting a radiant tone for the performance. Next, the programme unfolds with a timeless masterpiece, Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.2, performed by soloist Bruce Liu, followed by Sibelius’ Symphony No.5, a powerful and evocative composition.

Experience rich melodies of Hungarian classical music at Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra concert on 4 April at Aula der Neuen Universität Heidelberg, with soloist and clarinettist Pablo Barragan and cellist István Várdai. The programme features masterpieces by renowned Hungarian composers.
From Hungarian Rondo by Zoltán Kodály to of Karl Amadeus Hartmann’s Chamber Concerto. Adding more interest to the programme is Béla Bartók’s Divertimento and Leo Weiner’s enchanting Divertimento No.1. Finally, with Sarkozy Trio’s rendition of Gypsy tunes, this concert offers an unforgettable evening celebrating the rich musical heritage of Hungary.
