Osmo Vänskä conducts Detroit Symphony Orchestra for three performances of Henry Dorn’s new work Transitions, Jean Sibelius’ Symphony No.2 and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.1 joined by soloist Paul Lewis. Concerts take place from 18 to 20 January at Orchestra Hall Detroit. Vänskä has previously recorded Beethoven’s piano concertos and Sibelius’ symphonies with Minnesota Orchestra for BIS records.
