Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra tour Europe

Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra embark on an eight-concert tour in Europe in February and March under Music Director Jaap van Zweden alongside pianist Alexandre Kantorow.
This will be the first European tour for more than eight years for the orchestra, and takes them to Dresdner Philharmonie (24 February), Tonhalle Zürich (26 February), Halle aux Grains Toulouse (28 February), Grand Théâtre de Provence in Aix-en-Provence (29 February), De Doelen in Rotterdam (2 March), Stadtcasino Basel (3 March), Santa Cecilia Hall in Rome (5 March), finishing at Klarafestival at Bozar in Brussels (8 March).
The programme for the tour includes Daniel Lo’s Asterismal Dance (a world premiere composed especially for the tour), Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.4, Brahms’ Symphony No.1, Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini, Shostakovich’s Symphony No.9 and Mahler’s Symphony No.1.
