Australian mezzo-soprano Xenia Puskarz Thomas joins VOICE at HarrisonParrott

We are delighted to introduce Xenia Puskarz Thomas as our newest signing. Having made her debut as a vocal soloist aged 16 with Queensland Youth Orchestras, Xenia graduated from Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, then Juilliard School of Music. She is currently a member of the Opernstudio of Bayerische Staatsoper where she has performed the roles Kitchen Boy in Rusalka, Sandmännchen in Hänsel und Gretel, Die Vertraute in Elektra, both the Woodpecker and the Dog in The Cunning Little Vixen, as well as dual roles of Melanto and Minerva in Il Ritorno / The year of magical thinking at the Cuvilliés Theatre.
In the 2023/24 season, Xenia will continue in Munich, performing Mercedes in Carmen, Second Lady in Die Zauberflöte, second bridesmaid in Le Nozze di Figaro, Krystina in Weinberg’s The Passenger in a new production by Tobias Kratzer, conducted by Vladimir Jurowski, Blumenmädchen in Pierre Audi’s production of Parsifal, conducted by Constantin Trinks, Flora in La Traviata conducted by Francesco Lanzillotte and Servia in Respighi’s Lucrezia at the Cuvilliés-Theater under Ustina Dubitsky. Xenia Puskarz Thomas will make her debut at Salzburger Festspiele in 2024 as Aglaja in Krzyzstof Warlikowski’s new production of Mieczysław Weinberg’s The Idiot, conducted by Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla at Salzburg’s Felsenreitschule.
