Shenyang joins Shanghai Symphony for the world premiere of Aaron Zigman​’s Émigré, a co-production with New York Philharmonic in collaboration with conductor Long Yu. Shenyang creates the role of Wei Song, Father in this 90-minute oratorio telling the story of two Jewish refugees finding a new life in Shanghai in 1938. Performances run 17, 19 and 20 November 2023 and will be recorded for CD release.
