On 9 November, Leila Josefowicz marks her return to Iceland to perform Bartók​’s Violin Concerto No.2 with Iceland Symphony Orchestra. Under the baton of Eva Ollikainen, the concert takes place at Harpa Hall, marking Josefowicz’s first performance with the orchestra as their artist-in-residence for the 2023/24 season.

Audiences have another opportunity to see Josefowicz with the orchestra when she teams up with HarrisonParrott’s Daniel Bjarnason on 11 January for a country premiere of Helen Grime’s Violin Concerto as well as a solo recital on 12 January, featuring Matthias Pintscher’s La Linea Evocativa: A Drawing for Solo Violin and Bach’s masterful Partita No.2.
