Led by conductor Lionel Bringuier, cellist Alban Gerhardt joins Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège for three outings of Shostakovich’s show-stopping Cello Concerto No.1, a newly-composed piece for cello and orchestra by Eric Montalbetti, Nachtgebet, and Rimsky-Korskov’s Scheherazade. Audiences in Belgium can see them perform at Salle Philharmonique de Liège on 12 and 14 October, and Palais des Beaux-Arts de Charleroi on 13 October. Bringuier also presents a reduced programme on 15 October at Salla Philharmonique.
